Welcome to the archive of the Subcommittee on the Status of Persons with Disabilities' Canadian Pension Plan (Disability) Program e-consultation, held during the Second Session of the 37th Parliament. The consultation is now closed. This Web site, however, will remain in place until January 2006 for information purposes.

About the Consultation

We would like to thank all those who visited the Web site during the e-consultation from December 3rd, 2002 to March 3rd, 2003, and to express appreciation to the 1,400 people who took the time to contribute to our consultations by taking the issue poll, sharing their stories, and presenting their solutions.

With the Issue Poll, Canadians worked through and answered questions on some of the major issues facing the CPP Disability program. View "Issue Poll" results.

In Share Your Story, Canadians shared their personal experiences and challenges with the CPP Disability program. View "Share Your Story" results.

Using Present Your Solutions, Canadians were invited to present their solutions to some of the challenges facing the CPP Disability program. View "Present Your Solutions" results.

The Subcommittee's findings were presented to the House of Commons as the Fifth Report of the Standing Committee on Human Resources and the Status of Persons with Disabilities on June 12, 2003. We invite you to read the findings in the Report entitled Listening to Canadians: A First View of the Future of the Canada Pension Plan (Disability) Program.

The Government's of Canada's Response to the Report was tabled in the House of Commons on November 5, 2003, and may be consulted by clicking on Government Response.
