About the Architect

John A. Pearson of Toronto was the primary architect who designed and supervised the reconstruction of the Centre Block, the Peace Tower and the Memorial Chamber. Touched deeply by the loss of so many young lives, his vision was a grand scheme to honour those who never returned as well as to serve the needs of all Canadians who wish to grieve their loss.
