Save Electricity

Did You Know?
Fluorescent bulbs use 25% less energy than regular bulbs and last 10 times longer!

Electricity is produced from renewable and non-renewable resources. The production of electricity from non-renewable resources pollutes our environment. We should all be taking steps to reduce the amount of electricity that we consume. Here are a few tips for your office! If you use a desk lamp, remember to turn it off when you are not at your desk.

  • Replace incandescent bulbs with energy efficient fluorescent bulbs that are available at the One Stop Shop in your building.
  • Turn off the lights when you leave a room.
  • Print and copy on both sides of paper to minimize the amount of energy and fibre required for paper production.
  • Use the stairs instead of the elevators. You’ll save electricity and get some exercise!
