Summary This enactment amends the Customs Tariff to extend the General Preferential Tariff and the Least Developed Country Tariff to June 30, 2014.		Sommaire Le texte modifie le Tarif des douanes en vue de proroger jusqu’au 30 juin 2014 le tarif de préférence général et le tarif des pays les moins développés.

	1997, c. 36	Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:	Sa Majesté, sur l’avis et avec le consentement du Sénat et de la Chambre des communes du Canada, édicte :	1997, ch. 36
Explanatory Notes Customs Tariff Clause 1: Section 36 reads as follows: 36. Sections 33 to 35 cease to have effect on June 30, 2004 or on such earlier date as may be fixed by order of the Governor in Council.		*1. Section 36 of the Customs Tariff* is replaced by the following:**	*1. L’article 36 du Tarif des douanes* est remplacé par ce qui suit :**		Notes explicatives Tarif des douanes Article 1: Texte de l’article 36 : 36. Les articles 33 à 35 cessent d’avoir effet le 30 juin 2004, ou à la date antérieure que le gouverneur en conseil peut fixer par décret.
	Expiry date	36. Sections 33 to 35 cease to have effect on June 30, 2014 or on such earlier date as may be fixed by order of the Governor in Council.	36. Les articles 33 à 35 cessent d’avoir effet le 30 juin 2014, ou à la date antérieure que le gouverneur en conseil peut fixer par décret.	Cessation d’effet
Clause 2: Section 40 reads as follows: 40. Sections 37 to 39 cease to have effect on June 30, 2004 or on such earlier date as may be fixed by order of the Governor in Council.		2.
