The Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Garry Breitkreuz, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Garry Breitkreuz, Luc Desnoyers, Mark Holland, Andrew Kania, Dave MacKenzie, Phil McColeman, Maria Mourani and Borys Wrzesnewskyj.
Acting Members present: Paul Calandra for Brent Rathgeber, Bob Dechert for Shelly Glover, Dean Del Mastro for Rick Norlock and Paul Dewar for Don Davies.

Dave MacKenzie moved, — That the Committee commend the efforts of frontline officers who worked in exceptionally difficult circumstances to protect the safety of Canadians, delegates and visitors to the city of Toronto and the town of Huntsville; and that the Committee reject calls to promote the agendas of the violent mob made up of thugs and hooligans who set fire to police cars and damaged property during the G-20 in Toronto.
Debate arose thereon.
