Q-2802 — May 31, 2010 — Mr. Maloway (Elmwood—Transcona) — With regard to the announcement made by Health Canada on March 19, 2010, that beverage companies will now be allowed to add to all soft drinks up to 75% of the caffeine allowed in the most highly caffeinated colas: (a) who made the decision; and (b) will the Minister of Health reverse Health Canada's decision allowing caffeine in all soft drinks? Q-2802 — 31 mai 2010 — M. Maloway (Elmwood—Transcona) — En ce qui concerne l’annonce faite par Santé Canada le 19 mars 2010 selon laquelle les fabricants de boissons gazeuses pourraient désormais ajouter de la caféine à n'importe quelle boisson gazeuse, et ce, dans une proportion pouvant atteindre 75 p. 100 de ce qui est autorisé dans les colas à teneur élevée en caféine : a) qui a pris la décision; b) le ministre de la Santé va-t-il renverser l’autorisation donnée par Santé Canada à l’égard de l’adjonction de caféine dans les toutes les boissons gazeuses?
