The Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration met at 9:08 a.m. this day, in the Royal Stewart Room, Fredericton Inn, Fredericton, New Brunswick, the Chair, Norman Doyle, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Robert Carrier, Norman Doyle, Thierry St-Cyr and Hon. Andrew Telegdi.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Penny Becklumb, Analyst; Sandra Elgersma, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: As an individual: Annette Landman, Canadian Certified Immigration Consultant, President, Eastern Canada Immigration and Job Consultants Inc. New Brunswick Multicultural Council: George Maicher, President. Government of New Brunswick: Tony Lampart, Executive Director, Immigration Division, Population Growth Secretariat; Humphrey Sheehan, Chief Executive Officer, Population Growth Secretariat. Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association: John C. Robison, Member, President, SkillSearch Recruiting.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, the Committee resumed its study of Immigration Consultants.
 

Annette Landman made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 9:57 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:09 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 22, 2007, the Committee resumed its study of undocumented and temporary foreign workers.
 

George Maicher and Humphrey Sheehan made statements and, with Tony Lampart, answered questions.

 

At 11:06 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:13 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 

John C. Robinson made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 11:53 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
