Application Process
Candidates must
- Be enrolled in or graduating from a post-graduate (Master`s or PhD) program by spring 2012 in a field related to one of the Divisions.
OR
Have completed a Bachelor degree from a Canadian University by Spring 2012 in a field related to one of the Divisions; interested candidates must be planning to return to school following the completion of the Internship program.
Preference will be given to those currently enrolled in or completing post-graduate studies. - have a strong academic record;
- have an interest in Parliament and the public policy process;
- be objective and non-partisan;
- possess good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate orally in both official languages is essential.
In order for your application to be considered, you must provide:
- a completed application form: HTML | PDF
- a 200-word essay describing why you would like to be an intern at the Library of Parliament
- your résumé
- the names of three references and their contact information in your application
- an example of your written work (maximum of 3,000 words)
- an unofficial transcript of university record
