THE STANDING SENATE COMMITTEE ON LEGAL AND CONSTITUTIONAL AFFAIRS
Senate Committee Reports on Bill S-209
Ottawa (June 14, 2012) - The Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs presented its report today on Bill S-209, an Act to amend the Criminal Code (prize fights).
Bill S-209 was referred to the committee by the Senate on April 26, 2012, for further consideration. The committee completed its study of the bill, and has reported back to the Senate with an amendment. The committee’s report will be taken into consideration at the next sitting of the Senate.
