Pursuant to Standing Order 45, the House proceeded to the taking of the deferred recorded division on the motion of Mr. Van Loan (Leader of the Government in the House of Commons and Minister for Democratic Reform), seconded by Mr. Hearn (Minister of Fisheries and Oceans), — That Bill C-20, An Act to provide for consultations with electors on their preferences for appointments to the Senate, be referred forthwith to a legislative committee.
