Program Information

Since 1936, SEVEC has brought together more than 300,000 young people on exchanges and visits. They have traveled across Canada experiencing, communicating, and learning. They have shared languages and ideas, cultures and traditions. Most recently, as participants of the SEVEC Community Involvement Program (SCIP) and Volunteer Youth Exchange (VYE), they have developed the knowledge and skills necessary to become engaged citizens in their own communities.

SEVEC's mission is to create, promote and facilitate enriching educational opportunities within Canada for the development of mutual respect and understanding through programs of exploration in language, culture and volunteerism.

We believe that visiting another part of Canada or sharing the experience of an exchange makes a lasting positive impact on the lives of all those involved—individuals, families, organizations and communities. We are committed to the success of your exchange or your visit, and to the celebration of your experience of Canada.
