Introduction
This Model Parliament provides teachers with the tools and processes to simulate a day in Canada's Parliament. The resource has been designed to be flexible enough to adapt to a variety of teaching situations. With these activities, teachers and students can create a complete and accurate picture of what happens on a typical day in Parliament.

Fitting the Model Parliament Unit into Your Curriculum
Each province and territory has its own curriculum guidelines, but all jurisdictions devote time to civics and citizenship issues. Given Parliament's importance to all Canadians and the Model Parliament Unit's various options for teaching fundamental skills, teachers will find many opportunities to integrate these activities within their respective provincial or territorial guidelines.
