Provincial and Territorial Floral Symbols

The provincial and territorial flowers represented here are from the stained glass windows in the House of Commons Chamber. Each window is about 9 metres high and contains around 2,000 pieces of cut glass. The windows were commissioned in 1967 to celebrate Canada’s Centennial.

The flowers of the provinces west of Parliament Hill are on the west side of the Chamber, while the flowers of the eastern provinces are on the east side. The flowers of two territories are on the north wall.
