Message from the Parliamentary Librarian on the Passing of the Honourable Pierre Claude Nolin
I was saddened to learn of the passing of the Honourable Pierre Claude Nolin, Speaker of the Senate.
It was an honour serving him both as a Senator and, more recently, during his speakership when he was vested with oversight for the Library of Parliament. I appreciated his thoughtful guidance and his support for initiatives to improve the Library’s services and better meet the needs of a modern Parliament. He will be missed. Our thoughts and sympathies are with Speaker Nolin’s family.
